The most crucial characteristic of a fine humidor is its ability to provide a consistently tropical environment of 70° Fahrenheit at a 70% humidity level. Cedar is well reputed as the best wood for a humidor's interior, because it enhances the aging process and allows cigar tobaccos to "marry," providing subtle nuances of tobacco tastes. | Additional Features
Other practical features include a tray, which provides the owner with the option of storing cigars at more than one level so that they are exposed to varying degrees of humidity. Be sure to always place dry cigars on the bottom of the box first, where they will regain humidity slowly, then move them to the top shelf. |
